Rockin' for a Cause: Heartland FG4K's VIP Benefit Concert featuring Doyle Dykes

March 22nd marked a special evening at the Benson Theatre in Omaha, NE. The stage was set for a VIP Benefit concert, headlined by none other than the renowned guitarist, Doyle Dykes.
But this wasn’t just any concert—it was a heartfelt gathering organized by the local Heartland Sounding Board, all in support of Free Guitars 4 Kids (FG4K).
Over a hundred souls came together, eager to learn more about FG4K’s mission: to change young lives by gifting guitars to kids in underserved communities. With local sportscaster Dave Weber serving as the evening’s MC, the atmosphere was electric, buzzing with anticipation and goodwill.
FG4K didn’t just talk the talk; they walked the walk. Raffling off two incredible guitars, they raised funds to continue their noble cause in the greater Omaha area. Ben Dudley, Executive Director of FG4K, expressed gratitude for the community’s support and highlighted the organization’s partnerships with local nonprofits like Omaha Girls Rock, South Omaha Boys and Girls Club, and JPYD.
The event wouldn’t have been possible without the generous backing of sponsors like 11 Eleven Wine Sellers, Lidgett Music, Anchor Beverage Company, and A Catered Affair. Their support demonstrated a shared commitment to fostering creativity and opportunity within the community.
