Live on the Lanai: A Night of Music, Mission & Momentum in Santa Cruz

A Jamming Night to Remember in Santa Cruz

From the incredible live music and coastal atmosphere to the overwhelming community support, the evening was filled with joy, connection, and purpose. The heart of the night belonged to the outstanding performances from Extra Large and Bob O’Neill’s Absent Minds, who brought unforgettable energy, musicianship, and soul to the stage throughout the evening. Their performances created the perfect backdrop for a night centered around community and impact.

We were also honored to kick off the evening with a special opening jam from American Idol winner James Durbin, whose performance set the tone for an unforgettable celebration of music and mission.

Huge thanks to all of the musicians, supporters, auction participants, sponsors, volunteers, and every single person who showed up to make a difference.

Because of this amazing community, we raised over $40,000 to benefit kids locally and beyond through the life-changing gift of music.

Every guitar placed in a child’s hands opens the door to creativity, confidence, healing, and hope—and Santa Cruz showed up in a BIG way to help make that happen.

A heartfelt Thank You to our incredible sponsors who helped make Live on the Lanai such a meaningful and impactful evening possible:

To David and Karyn Adams, thank you so much for opening your beautiful property and graciously hosting our event. Your home is truly a special place — one that brings people together, creates meaningful connection, and leaves lasting memories. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and hospitality.

Because of partners like you, we’re able to continue putting guitars into the hands of kids who need them most and expanding the impact of music in communities near and far.

So much fun was had all around, and we’re beyond grateful for the momentum, generosity, and heart that filled the Lanai all evening long.

Thank you for helping us continue changing lives one guitar at a time.
