What can you say about a young man who used the downtime presented by the pandemic to teach himself how to play the guitar? And upon perfecting his craft, decided to hold a concert in his neighborhood to raise funds for a non-profit he leaned of through his guitar study?  Well, to those of us at Free Guitars 4 Kids, the answer is simple: THANK YOU!

On July 9th, Dash Roads, an 11-year-old from Plymouth, Minnesota held a concert in his cul-de-sac to raise funds for Free Guitars 4 Kids having become aware of us as he taught himself to play guitar through You-Tube videos.  Inviting neighbors and friend to join him, Dash’s concert raised more than $1400 for Free Guitars 4 Kids. These funds went on to purchase 14 guitars for the Community Music School in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Dash’s gift of music will go on to enhance the life of 14 more young students!

You can learn more about this amazing young man in this interview with FG4K Board Member Terry Esau.

Watch out world – Dash is coming!
